Lochaber ten-pin bowlers have recently started up their leagues again at the Nevis Centre in Fort William. the competitions are again supported by Lochaber Building Supplies.
Ather the first week there are ve teams, Alleycats, Council, British Legion Fort William, ‘Old Spice’ Girls and Retrovators at the top of the scratch division with the maximum ve points. In the handicap division ‘Old Spice’ Girls are the only team with the maximum ve points followed by Alleycats, Council, British Legion Fort William and Triple ‘B’ all on three points. Individually the best game in week one came from Brian Johnstone, Alleycats, with 188.
Also this week Gus Fraser, Council, rolled a 186 and Tony Weldon, British Legion Fort William, rolled a 175. Brian Johnstone also had the top two game scratch series with 322 and the best two game handicap series with 384. Gus Fraser had the best handicap game of 220. the best team scores of the week came from Alleycats with the top scratch game of 615, top two game scratch series of 1,154 and the top two game handicap series of 1,510 whilst Council had the top handicap game of 807.
