There’s something blissful and dreamy about nibbling on canapes and sipping cocktails, whilst socialising with friends as your favourite summer chill playlist meets the sound of singing birds and a warm subtle breeze. In fact, that thought probably feels like one big fantasy, because thanks to the unpredictable and spontaneous British summer skies our al fresco dining activities can feel a rarity. Yet, for that very reason, the few and far between opportunities we get to tuck into some seasonal grub underneath the sun’s rays from the comfort of our own back garden, we appreciate every second of it.
Pile a tray with rye toast, a selection of homemade jams and freshly brewed coffee, place on your outdoor dining table and it suddenly feels like you are on holiday. Invite all your family and friends round for a BBQ or buffet, and before you know it you are making memories long into the night. And that’s the beauty of it- summer garden parties (no matter how big or small) are spontaneous and fun.
