With the nights drawing in, now is the ideal time to get outside when the sun has set, and look skyward. People have been fascinated by the stars since ancient times and that fascination has been passed down, generation to generation and, as more scientific knowledge was discovered there was a big shift from the mythical to the scientific over the centuries. Ptolemy, Kepler, Copernicus, Galileo, Hubble, Burbidge, Hawkins and Cox, to name a few, have been following the stars, pushing scientific boundaries to further our knowledge.
The aim of this workshop is to follow in the footsteps of these physicists and astronomers, take a giant leap for writer kind and lift off for a journey amongst the stars. You will be harnessing films, fiction, non fiction, science and mythology to create writing that is out of this world.
