A letter from our publisher
Welcome to DIVA’s LGBT+ History Month issue where we’re thrilled to have the legend that is Dr. Phyll Opoku-Gyimah adorning our cover. I first met Phyll many years ago when I was the publisher of g3 magazine. Since then, we have become firm friends. My first meeting with Phyll coincided with her co-founding UK Black Pride, cementing her place in the pantheon of inspirational leaders within our community. In January, I was so pleased to see Phyll receive an Honorary Doctorate from London South Bank University. As I write, I wonder if we refer to Lady Phyll as Dr Phyll going forward!
