How did you plough a fresh furrow on
Frankenstein
?
I watched some of the older movies, and looked at some stills. I reread, obviously, Mary Shelley’s novel, which was very inspiring. And Guillermo [del Toro, director] is very good, because he’ll often do concept illustrations. And then I put that aside, because I have to develop my own sense of what this world is.
