★★★
Subtitled ‘An Actor’s Life On The Set Of Jaws And Beyond’, this book by Robert Shaw’s nephew is more a warm family snapshot than movie-star biog. It’s an oddly structured affair and the Jaws material offers little new — playwright Thornton Wilder played a key role in the famed Indianapolis speech — but is more successful depicting the formidable women in Shaw’s life. An entertaining account of the shaping of a larger-than-life figure.
