ADAM B. STEIN: “The hypnosis teacup scene from Get Out. It’s such a simple scene, just two people sitting in chairs, but I remember being completely terrified watching that in a theatre for the first time. The sound design, the way that spoon [scrapes] around the edge of the teacup, was very hypnotic, and terrifying. I can’t hear that sound without thinking of that scene.”
