PLANNING is underway for improvements to the London Trams depot in Croydon after over half a million pounds was secured for a project to make it more energy efficient and reduce its carbon footprint.
The Therapia Lane site has been earmarked as the first of several low carbon Transport for London (TfL) depots. It will benefit from £592,000 of funding delivered by Salix Finance through the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme, with TfL providing the rest of the money needed as part of its current business plan.
