TRANSPORT for London has called on Ministers to agree funding for additional Elizabeth line trains, to create the capacity it says is likely to be needed for passengers making connections with HS2 following the Government’s rephasing of the project.
Transport Secretary Mark Harper announced in March that Old Oak Common would become the initial London terminus of the new high speed route, with Euston expected to be delayed until 2041, allowing time to ensure “an affordable and deliverable station design”.
