Sharp GM6245K
Set the standard
SMART TV | £279 from Amazon www.snipca.com/55066
This isn’t the cheapest 43in smart TV we’ve tested (that honour goes to the Bush 43UT24SB, £179 from www.snipca.com/53637, reviewed in Issue 703), but it has a lot going for it that makes it worth the extra money.
An easy-to-use interface with built-in services, sharp picture and great audio
One plus point is the quality of the screen. During testing we were impressed with its contrast, which was higher than on many models in this price range. The bars at the top and bottom of widescreen movies were still dark grey, rather than the absolute black you get on a more expensive QLED TV, but they still look surprisingly deep.
