Ihave mixed feelings. When I think of how I feel I can only imagine what the drivers with tickets to the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals (RMCGF) Portugal 2020 must feel like. After a year of hard work, in the middle of a pandemic which, as a consequence, brought the cancellation of some stages of the Mexico Challenge. Uncertainty and constant changes until the cancellation of the (RMCGF) and the Portugal trip. I imagine the sense of injustice felt by the drivers, and the anger each driver is experiencing. At this moment we should unite to a greater good; health is more important than a race. Appreciate life and be thankful for health.
The news of the race cancellation was a very unpleasant moment for me, RMCGF is part of my life. As soon as one Grand Final ends, it thrills me to plan for the next one. Like I said at the beginning of this letter, I feel incomplete and sad, but at the same time grateful for my health and to be fortunate to collaborate in RMCGF for so many years. This race has taken me to many countries and cities. I feel proud to be part of this the Rotax family, and in my 14 consecutive years covering this event, I can say with satisfaction and love that it is an important part of my life.
