CHANGES ON THE THEME
In the last issue of Vroom we began to deal with one of the thorniest but also rewarding aspects of driving on the track (with any motorized vehicle, not just karts) especially for those in their first racing experiences: the racing lines to follow in the turns. Let me be clear: with experience, with the help of an expert assistant, with the mediation of the stopwatch (a severe judge but also unbiased and objective) and, above all, with a few laps of experience, at a certain point we shall be able to find almost instinctively what is the most profitable line for each turn or bend of the track we are facing. Nonetheless, having a certain “theoretical basis” on the various aspects of this side of the art of driving, allows you to better understand what you are doing and why, help you arrive at the definition of the right line to follow much earlier and to exploit the vehicle sooner and better, especially when we change track or even if moving to a different category, better yet if making the coveted transition from karting to cars.
