GT Porsche  |  September 2013
On the eve of the 918 Spyder launch, this month we celebrate the tenth anniversary of Porsche’s last supercar: the Carrera GT. With its race-bred V10 engine, carbon fibre chassis and fearsome performance the Carrera GT is regarded today as the last of the analogue supercars. In part one of our celebration we look back at how the car came about and what it took to produce a bespoke supercar that could be sold alongside a Boxster.
Also in the September issue of GT Porsche we bring you all the Porsche celebrations from the Goodwood Festival of Speed, name the top five 911 race cars from the last 50 years and lose ourselves in the excellent 911 50th Anniversary Exhibition at the Porsche museum. We have also been to the inaugural Rennsport Australia event, driven a sensational 356A Speedster and take a look at the original Cayenne as a used purchase.
