1 Use cooked quinoato replace couscous, pasta or bulgur wheat in salads. This gluten-free grain is high in fibre and protein and – bonus – it’s easily digestible.

2 USE TAMARI SAUCE INSTEAD OF SOY SAUCE in stir-fries, marinades and salad dressings. Unlike soy sauce, it doesn’t contain wheat.

3 MAKE YOUR OWN GLUTEN-FREE CHICKEN STOCK In a large pan, sauté chopped carrots and celery in a little vegetable oil until golden. Fill the pan with water, then add chicken bones and simmer for around 1 hr. Strain the liquid, cool, then freeze it in portions.
