As far as I'm concerned when it comes to superpowers, not much beats a good night’s sleep. The kind where you wake up feeling like you could take on anything. Conversely just a few nights of sleeping badly can leave me feeling desperate – jet lagged and at war with my body, as my brain whirrs away and refuses to rest. Luckily, for me, those nights are in the minority these days – although it wasn’t always the case: when my teenagers were babies, I sleepwalked through my days and lay awake in bed at night. Now, practising what I preach when it comes to eating healthily, getting outside, and sticking more or less to a routine works for my sleep most days – although I’m aware this is not the case for everyone. Commentators tell us we are in the middle of a sleep epidemic, caused by being ‘always-on’, and there is no shortage of content to help us ‘fix’ our sleep problems. As always, we’ve tried to come at this topic from a different angle and offer you some new solutions. Our sleep special, from page 16, looks at the newest thinking, and our experts explain ways to improve your sleep that you may not have tried before. I hope it works for you – please let me know. Elsewhere, in our beauty section we have advice on freshening up your skincare for spring, as well as (I think) one of the best articles on haircare, page 88, we’ve ever run. We have recipes for light and breezy spring entertaining, page 66, and, in line with Stress Awareness Month in April, an article on How to beat burnout, page 106, that’s packed with useable advice. A mature magazine with comprehensive advice

I really enjoy the content of Healthy, as it covers a wide range of health issues comprehensively, and inspires me to live a healthier life. Being an avid cook, I love the healthy recipes, which are always innovative and give me great vegan and vegetarian options to try. The celeb interviews are done with style and energy, and I'm always left inspired to take on their advice. Living a hectic life, it's hard to always be as healthy as I'd like to, but Healthy mag gives me the tools I need to feel as good as I can. Always feel positive after reading. Vapid fluff but worth it for the vouchers

This magazine doesn't have a lot of content. It can be interesting to flick through, but there isn't really much substance. However, if you're buying anything in Holland & Barrett, it can work out much cheaper to buy this first to use the vouchers inside. Reviewed 03 June 2017
