Celebrated Australian fashion designer Camilla lounges in her home near Bondi Beach, a sanctuary in the pandemic and during her battle with breast cancer. She lives there with artist fiancé JP Jones and daughter Luna (all above) – “My biggest and best creation,” she says
Camilla Franks’s beautiful home just five minutes from Sydney’s famous Bondi Beach is much like her designs – flamboyant, bright and decorated with mementos of her travels. “I live in a very bold, colourful, wild and crazy world,” the Australian designer – whose signature kaftans and boho-style dresses are loved by celebrities including Beyoncé, Oprah Winfrey, Jennifer Lopez, Robbie Williams and Kate Hudson – tells hello!.
“The fashion industry is fast-paced, so when you come into my personal world you get to immerse yourself into my realness – from my spirituality to my cooking, my art, textiles and travels.”
A blaze of colour and glamour in a silverpatterned jumpsuit with fake-fur cuffs and statement silver jewellery, Camilla is speaking to us from a favourite room where every morning she gets her “hippy on”, practising meditation and yoga with her sage sticks and crystals.
