CELEBRITY GLOW GETTERS
A-listers often talk about a favourite facial or must-have make-up product, but we don’t always hear about the cosmetic treatments they love. Here, three aesthetic doctors discuss the non-surgical procedures that have the seal of approval from their starry clients
VOGUE’S HYDRATING INJECTIONS
If you want fresh, plump-looking skin but are not quite ready to commit to dermal fillers, Profhilo is a good intermediary, according to dermatologist Dr Bibi Ghalaie.
“It is a filler but it doesn’t function as a volumiser,” she says. Hyaluronic acid is injected superficially into the dermis, which triggers a process in the body encouraging more collagen and elastin to be produced.
“Your skin becomes really dewy, kind of like when women are in their first trimester of pregnancy. It’ll look flushed and glowing,” says Bibi. “On its own it’s a great treatment, especially for anyone new to injectables, but it’s also great for maintaining dermal fillers.”
She has used Profhilo on celebrities including Vogue Williams (left). “Vogue was so happy with the result, she put it on her social media and she talks about it on her podcast. She loves it; I think she’ll have it done regularly.”
