STAY
Sequestered high above the Ourika river is Kasbah Bab Ourika (3) – serene and gloriously in tune with its surroundings. Mornings are for rambling through the Atlas’s terracottatinged mountainscapes and afternoons should be whiled away poolside, beneath the Moroccan sun. Head inside (1) and you’ll find tadelakt-plastered spaces that are beautiful yet lived-in; walls are hung with age-old mirrors, vintage Berber rugs soften stone flags, and open fires crackle in the cooler months. Service here can be on the slow side and the wi-fi’s hit and miss, but this is a one-of-a-kind retreat you won’t want to leave.
