Hidden near the Norfolk coast, jewellery designer Monica Vinader’s home is a pick-and-mix selection of favourite styles, eras and colours
… and give Monica a comfy spot in which to relax
Monica Vinader’s North Norfolk house and namesake brand are entwined. Not only did the jewellery designer originally set up her studio and offices in the property’s old forge, which has since been annexed to the house and turned into an office and dining room, but mortgaging the family home enabled her and sister Gabriela to launch the brand in 2008, something she calmly describes as “very risky”.
When we speak on Zoom, Monica is sitting in front of a huge bookcase in her office.
“I spend most days working from here, surrounded by my favourite books and pieces I’ve collected over the years,” she says.
