As the countdown to the Platinum Jubilee weekend continues, new details of the four-day celebration have been unveiled, including free tickets for a star-studded concert at Buckingham Palace, a spectacular display of blooms at the Tower of London and beacons lit around the world to commemorate the Queen’s historic milestone.
In news that’s sure to bring cheer after Her Majesty’s recent Covid diagnosis, the BBC announced that 10,000 tickets to the Platinum Party at the Palace will be given away in a public ballot, with more invitations to be sent out to charities.
As British singer George Ezra confirmed his place in the line-up that will perform for the Queen, it emerged that the Spice Girls have been asked to reunite for the show, which will take place on 4 June and be broadcast live by the BBC.
