‘The White Lotus has given me a new beginning; my neighbours are speaking to me’ Jennifer

JENNIFER COOLIDGE

Declaring that “it’s not over ’til you’re dead”, actress and comedian Jennifer Coolidge beamed while picking up the Critics Choice Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series last month for her critically acclaimed role in The White Lotus. The star said she hoped her win would inspire those who had “given up hope”.

She had already scooped an award at the Golden Globes, where she reminisced about her 20-year career doing “little jobs”, such as her roles in A Cinderella Story and Legally Blonde.

“I had such big dreams and expectations as a younger person, but they get fizzled by life… You get older and it’s just not happening,” she said, going on to thank The White Lotus’s creator Mike White. “ You’ve given me a new beginning; my neighbours are speaking to me,” she joked.
