The Sofa.com sofa is one of Sally’s favourite items and the cushions are a collection from local homeware store, Cosi Homewares, along with HomeSense, Zara Home and H&M Home. ‘These are my go-to shops for good quality and great value home accessories. The pretty coloured lights are from Cable & Cotton’
After moving her family back to London from New Zealand, Sally Champion transformed a former flat-share into a welcoming family home
Welcome to my home
A bit about me
I’m Sally Champion and live here with my husband, Brent McGregor, and our two daughters, Rachel, 11, and Lauren, eight.
Where I live
Our home is a three -bedroom flat in a Grade II listed Arts and Crafts mansion block in north-west London.
What I wanted to change
All the rooms needed redecorating – the walls were grubby, the carpets worn out – but all we saw was lots of potential and charm.
How I made it my own
I’ve placed upcycled pieces, charity shop finds and sale furniture against a backdrop of bright colours and textiles.
My favourite part
I love that the kitchen and our bedroom overlook the beautiful communal gardens. I also love the height of the ceilings and the leaded windowpanes.
‘It’s so easy to transform my home for Christmas – I just add more lights and trimmings!’
