Edging plain white china with a stroke of bright red paint
‘Welcome to our table,’ says Susanna Zacke and Sania Hedengren, authors of The Whimsical Home (Skyhorse Publishing, £25). ‘The crockery was originally white but was made Christmassy by adding a red edge,’ they reveal, a project which can be easily copied at home with a tube of red porcelain paint and a fine brush. Plus, the more wobbly it is, the more charming the effects will be – bonus!
