In TV and film, we often see the action unfold from the protagonist using a POV (point of view) shot. We might view the action through the lens of an SLR camera, or in a wildlife documentary we could see a POV shot from the multi–faceted eyes of a bee flying in search of flowers. You could create graphical components for various POV shots in Photoshop, but Final Cut has a comprehensive collection of drag and drop effects that you can easily modify to customise their look and behaviour. Postproduction POV effects tell a story in an interesting visual way and add an extra layer of texture to your programme’s footage.
