ULTRA RUNNER HAS AN AFRI-CAN-DO ATTITUDE

WITH just an iPod and a baby stroller of supplies for company, a South African headteacher has begun a 12,000km journey to run from Cairo to Cape Town, the extreme north to extreme south of Africa.

Labuschagne is an experienced fundraiser – he completed a five-day, 274km run as a teenager, has undertaken triathlons and even attempted to swim the English Channel – is deeply passionate about his continent and identity as an African, and in his profession has seen first-hand how a little can go a long way.
