The 24-year-old ran 29:17.45, slicing a scarcely believable 14 seconds off of the previous world record set by Chinese runner Wang Junxia 23 years ago as she came away with gold in arguably the best female distance race in history as Vivian Cheruiyot, Tirunesh Dibaba and Alice Nawowuna ran the third, fourth and fifth fastest times in history.
