WHETHER YOU’RE JUST starting out with learning an instrument, or you’re an old hand learning a new song, technology has lots of ways to help you get there more quickly.
One of the ways software can help is in isolating a part such as a guitar or keyboards, so that you can focus on learning that without being distracted by everything else happening in the song. It can also loop a section, such as a guitar solo, so that you can listen over and over until you nail it. And perhaps most useful of all — it can change the tempo of a track without changing its pitch, so you can slow the solo right down and pick out every note.
