Sarah Swindlehurst/Mulliner is the founder of The Yogic Prescription (theyogicprescription.com)
NAME: Vishuddha (meaning ‘pure’)
LOCATION: Throat (between the 7th cervical vertebra and the 1st thoracic vertebra)
COLOUR: Blue
LOKA (Plane): Janaloka (the sphere of spiritual reflection)
TATTVA (Element): Akasha, the etheric source of the four other gross elements of air, fir e, water and earth
MANDALA: 16 petals, a circle within it, and a silver moon symbol within. The seed sound symbol can be seen in the centre of the moon. The 16 petals represent the frequency at which the chakra spins and are said to be seen by clairvoyant vision – each chakra spins faster the further up the spine they are located. The circle represents wholeness or totality and depicts the principle of no beginning and no end (time). The silver moon is the symbol of nada, the pure cosmic sound, of intuition, psychic energy and communication without words.
