Some traditions run deep. The British tradition of having dairy milk delivered directly to the doorstep may no longer be the inescapable craze that it once was, predominantly due to competitively-priced supermarket alternatives, but for an idea that has been around since the late 18th century, it is still going relatively strong.
For those of us who no longer drink dairy, though, the idea of a milk man bringing milk to your house has become archaic and obscure — until now. Because, on the streets of East London, a quiet plant milk revolution is taking place. We spoke to Jamie Chapman, the brains behind Mylkman, about his plant milk venture and the response to this novel idea.
