We’re now well into summer and, for many, thoughts will doubtless be turning to upcoming holidays and trips abroad. As a photographer, however, have you ever thought what it might be like to generate an assignment that actually pays you to take a foreign trip? In the spirit of travel, we’ve decided to put together an issue that looks at the practicalities of heading overseas and, crucially, of making it pay. We’ve also got an interview with Chris Coe, one of the driving forces behind the amazing Travel Photographer of the Year competition. Also in this issue we’ve got an in-depth interview with the great photojournalist Tom Stoddart as he prepares for a massive open air exhibition at an Olympic hot spot.
