Trouble is brewing in Downgate Arches. Hatching, in fact. The great scarf-worm investment that had been all the rage in the estates and mansions of the arches, which hangs suspended at great height above the city, turns out to have been a mistake. Scarf-worms have cracked out of their eggs, not as indescribably beautiful and wearable creatures of profound value, but monstrous pretender worms instead. All that is certain is that this is someone’s fault: Various factions and great houses are out of pocket, many are suspected to have had a hand in this investment gone awry and you, dear investigator, have been hired to work out exactly who is going to pay for all of this.
