MUST-SEE, WHY?
In 2018, Lord Of The Rings director Peter Jackson again opened up a vivid, breath-taking world to viewers with the documentary They Shall Not Grow Old, which restored, dubbed and colourised World War 1 archival footage to place viewers right in the trenches. Now he’s doing a similar thing for The Beatles. Compiled from 55 hours of unseen footage and 140 hours of mostly unheard audio recordings, The Beatles: Get Back sits in on the band’s recording sessions for their legendary studio album Let It Be, and showcases the entirety of their final live gig as a group – the iconic 42-minute Savile Row rooftop performance.
