Sainsbury’s is the latest supermarket to increase its efforts on the vegan front with the addition of the Naturli’ mince and burgers, which have the addition of beetroot so the patties retain an authentic ‘redness’ when cooked. The mince will actually be stocked in the meat aisle next to beef mince – a first for UK supermarkets. As well as the Naturli’ range, there is also Vivera Pulled Veggie, Vivera fish burger and Tofurky Italian sausage added to Sainsbury’s meat-free offerings. There are also four popular Sainsbury’s readymeals, which have been redeveloped to be vegan, including the Sweet Potato Katsu Curry and the Onion Bhajia, Vegetable Keema Masala.
