AFTER HER DAUGHTER, SOPHIE PARKINSON, DIED BY SUICIDE THREE YEARS AGO, RUTH MOSS WAS DETERMINED TO DO ALL SHE COULD TO SUPPORT THE NSPCC - A CHARITY THAT HAD BECOME AN IMPORTANT PART OF THEIR LIVES. NOW RUTH HAS SET UP A TRIBUTE FUND FOR THE NSPCC AND WILL BE RUNNING OUR WOMEN’S RUNNING RACE SERIES EVENT IN GLASGOW TO FUNDRAISE FOR THE CHARITY

Sophie Parkinson was just 13 when she took her own life. From the age of eight she’d suffered from mental health issues but had struggled to get the right support. Sophie turned to the NSPCC’s Childline for help in 2013 – and the service became an invaluable outlet for her in the 12 months before she passed away.
