Growing climbing beans is easy enough in a large garden. You need enough room for a tripod type structure; or use a long A frame made from poles if you want to grow lots. There are other support options of course, but few of these are designed to suit a small garden or back yard. If you want to grow beans up a wall, then you might consider trellis or fixed wire frames – but both of these can fit too closely for beans, which like to wrap all the way around supports. So what do you do to get the most out of a small back yard? Well, one answer is to make your own frame, where you are in control of how closely it fits against a wall. You may as well enjoy something attractive too, so if you like making your own garden aids then this pretty frame is perfect for you.
