LEAGUE ONE ROUND-UP
WITH big games coming up against Hunslet, Doncaster and Dewsbury, Oldham have added some size to their pack with the signing of Samy Kibula.
The prop, who has recent Championship experience with Swinton, Dewsbury and Bradford, has joined on a one-month loan from Batley Bulldogs.
Kibula came through the system at Wigan Warriors and won back-to-back Academy side Grand Finals there in 2017 and 2018. After making one Super League appearance for Wigan in 2018, he played two first-team games for Warrington in 2020 before joining Bradford Bulls.
So far this year the 23-year-old has scored three tries in eight games for Batley.
"I'm delighted to get it done and over the line," said Oldham coach Stuart Littler.
"Samy has got a high skill set for a middle and, as well as that, he is big and hard to put down. He has a good passing game and is someone I've worked with before at Swinton when he was on dual-registration.
"We’ve got a big month ahead with some big games coming up, so I’m delighted to get it done and get him over the line."
