THE play-offs are all about momentum, and right now momentum is with Hull KR.
So often the team that battles its way into the top six finds itself in a better condition for play-off rugby than the team that secured its place long ago.
In following up their thrashing of Leigh with the toppling of Catalans, Hull KR not only appear favourites to emerge from the great pack of pretenders and make the play-offs, but they increasingly look like serious contenders.
This was an untidy game but the hallmarks of it from the Robins were grit and resilience, plus the odd touch of class - atypical recipe for success at the end of the season.
They quite literally knocked Catalans off their perch, as the Dragons fell from top spot with a second successive defeat following their humbling by Wigan six days earlier.
