UNDER 16 INTERNATIONAL

THE Rugby Football League, which will again support the Women in Sports #TimeTogether campaign in October, is asking mothers, daughters, aunts, cousins or grandmothers who are involved in Rugby League to step forward.
Female involvement can be in a wide range of capacities, including such as playing on the same Masters team, mum coaching daughter, or grandma travelling home and away to watch her granddaughter play.
The Rugby Football League’s communications executive Bronwen Jones said: “#TimeTogether aims to encourage women and girls to discover a new way of spending time with one another through sports such as Rugby League and we are on the hunt for case studies.
“If you have a nice story that you think would be perfect for this campaign, it would be great to get a brief description of how the case studies spend time together in Rugby League alongside a picture which I will share with Women in Sport. We want to hear from you.”
ENGLAND COMMUNITY LIONS....18 IRELAND........................................18 DAVE PARKINSON, Golborne Parkside, Saturday
IRELAND secured a creditable draw in their first Under 16 international, making the most of the sinbinning of England’s Jayden Aaron for a foul in a tackle to register a try for Seamus Knight, Daniel Coop adding his third goal.
England’s Nate Parker was off target with a field-goal attempt in the closing seconds.
Luke Fisher gave Ireland an early lead when, after Deacon Connolly had forced a drop-out, he crashed over for Coop to improve.
