Welcome
David Bellamy kicks off this month’s issue with the first of a two-part series of articles on producing family histories for future generations to enjoy, or personal illustrated journals inspired by your own life and memories. Within the article he discusses the inspiration behind his journal – his grandfather and the part he played in the Boer War – and the materials and methods David used, alongside a host of tips and ideas to help you create varied illustrated pages of your own. I’d love to hear from readers who use their artistic skills in this way to create a book of memories from a lifetime or a holiday, or a history of another member of the family. Enjoy the challenge and let me know how you get on.
