Br OS 24.10
Nate Drake delves into this colourful Latin American distro, which couples KDE Plasma 6 with its very own dock.
IN BRIEF
During the admittedly smooth setup process, Br OS promised to use minimal RAM and CPU resources. This wasn’t our experience but the interface is graphically stunning and easy to use.

At LXF, we have a soft spot for Linux distros that are created mainly by one developer. Since 2022, Anderson Marques has been building versions of this OS, based on the latest release of Kubuntu.
As the name suggests, the primary target market for Br OS is Brazil. The project website is in Portuguese but Google Translate ably allowed us to download the 4GB ISO. The same page also lists the system requirements, which are similar to Kubuntu’s.
