User interface
Nice environments are productive.
B ecause this is a special class of browser, we’re willing to make some allowances for a less featureful interface. However, if a browser can offer security and privacy, and a nice interface, that’s even better.
As these are secure browsers, we like to be able to access the security and privacy features easily, within the user interface. We also welcome any extra visual indicators that concern this area of use.
Despite the security and privacy orientation of these browsers, some of them offer a bit more in the realm of user interface innovation, which is missing from mainstream stalwarts such as Firefox and Chrome. Most of the major browsers adopted multiple tabs over 20 years ago, but these days, we’re happy to see any advanced features (such as grouping) that make dealing with a large collection of tabs easier. A well-featured and easily accessible sidebar is another feature we feel should become a standard expectation these days, too.
