EasyOS 4.2
Michael Reed tries a Linux distribution that’s suitable for extremely limited hardware, and finds that it breaks with conventions in some areas.
IN BRIEF
EasyOS is heavily influenced by PuppyOS, another lightweight distribution with which it shares much technology. It’s intended to provide full desktop computer facilities on limited hardware. It’s certainly an eccentric distribution in terms of how it works. And yet, if you can get past these eccentricities, it’s a highly viable option for reviving older systems or as an emergency portable setup on a flash drive.
