A ‘bodycon’ dress is designed to be ultra-fitted and is usually made from a high-stretch fabric such as scuba. If making a test garment, do so with a similar stretch fabric. (McCall 8194)

Take body measurements – bust, waist, hips and high bust. Use these to determine your pattern size.
