New update places Shortcuts power at your fingertips
APP OF THE MONTH
[ MAC APP]
BetterTouchTool has long been a great tool for Mac users who want more control over swipes and gestures. Now, its latest version brings macOS Monterey compatibility, plus strong integration with Apple’s Shortcuts automation app. That means you can assign specific trackpad gestures to certain shortcuts, giving you a speedy way to launch complex workflows or favourite tasks. As well as the trackpad, gestures work with your mouse, the Touch Bar, keyboard shortcuts, and more. BetterTouchTool brings its own tools to Shortcuts. You can use it to create a floating Netflix viewer, for example, or a standalone shortcuts launcher, all activated by a customisable swipe. As you can imagine, there’s a huge number of possibilities with the new Shortcuts integration. This all makes the software a must for power users.
