t’s an odd time for Apple right now. The company’s made a big deal out of launching artificial intelligence (AI) into its mobile and computing products but I still think that most people aren’t sure why they need it. Undeterred, Apple pushes on. But, thanks to the, ‘We’ll just help ourselves to everything!’, approach that a lot of AI companies are taking when training their AI on our data, without asking, AI has already become something of a dirty word (okay, two words). This is especially true in the creative sectors where there are accusations of stealing artists’ work without crediting, or more importantly, paying.
