The MacBook Air (2025) is a brilliant notebook for the rest of us
Yes, it’s finally here! After months of speculation over the launch of the new M4 MacBook Air it finally arrived in March 2025. And, while it doesn’t move the dial much in terms of form, features and functions, Apple’s done enough to keep it at the top of the worldwide best-selling notebook list for a little while longer.
To that end, both MacBook Air model sizes are now £100 cheaper than they were last year, with the 13-inch starting at £999 (vs £1,099 for the 2024 version); and the 15-inch starting at £1,199 (vs £1,299 for the 2024 version). Not only that, but the MacBook Air (2025) also has an Apple silicon M4 chip inside – the same chip used in the current iPad Pro, iMac, entry-level Mac mini and 14-inch MacBook Pro, although there are no Pro or Max options here like on the Mac mini or MacBook Pro.
