ooking back, I’ve been writing about Apple since the early 2000s and, like clockwork, every year the rumour that Apple is going to release a budget MacBook has come around, then sailed off into the distance as the company released yet another sleek, expensive laptop that cost roughly the same as a new kitchen.
So, when MacFormat’s editor told me the latest rumour was that Apple planned to launch a budget laptop in March, I pretty much laughed in this face.
