Quick–fire questions & answers
WHAT DRIVERS DO I NEED FOR MY FLIGHT STICK?
macOS includes drivers needed to use a range of flight sticks and games controllers, but they aren’t general– purpose input devices, so it’s left to individual apps to provide custom support. For example, X–Plane has extensive calibration for most USB models, including Thrustmaster.
HOW DO I CONNECT A THUNDERBOLT 1 DRIVE TO TB4?
We know of two adaptors: Apple’s Thunderbolt 3 to 2 Adapter, and one from www.startech.com. Apple’s requires the drive to have its own power supply, but StarTech’s is claimed to provide up to 12W. Although Intel Thunderbolt 4 doesn’t usually support Thunderbolt 1 or 2, Apple silicon Macs do.
Connect the uninterruptible power supply (UPS) to your Mac via USB so it can tell it when to shut down.
