Mini World  |  It's in the Blood
The MiniWorld team had a fantastic day out at Castle Combe at the end of September for the
MiniWorld Action Day. This fab annual event gives Mini owners a chance to drive their pride and joy on a circuit in a controlled environment with safety marshals. Combe's professional staff make sure everyone has a good time – we certainly did. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Rodney Gooch,
who has been involved in organising all 21 of the MW Action Days, and wish him all
the best for his retirement. He introduced fab elements such as timed passes, the Mini
cruise, the no overtaking zones to make the circuit safer, and also the Mighty Mini
passenger rides which each year raises a lot of money for charity. We are of course confi dent that Castle Combe's professional events team will put on another fantastic MiniWorld Action Day
next year in Rodney's absence! You can see our photos from Combe in the event review
section starting on page 94, which this month is full of ontrack action. There are photos from Goodwood Revival where Olympian Chris Hoy raced a Cooper S in the St Mary's Trophy
race. There are also more fab track photos from the Mini Cicuit Festival at Ebisu, Japan.
If the above is still not enough to get your Mini motorsport fi x then check out the stunning cover
car. It's a historic racer built and campaigned by former Miglia champion Endaf Owens.
I hope you enjoy the issue.
