CLAYTON ‘DHP1’ REACHES EP STAGE
KR Models has recently received the first working engineering prototype of its forthcoming ‘Super Clayton’, the modified Class 17 design that was ordered as a demonstrator for Rolls-Royce diesel engines and a hydraulic transmission. The ‘OO’ gauge sample has been undergoing thorough testing and has been reported to cope with first radius curves with ease. Although the real thing only carried one livery, three colour schemes are on offer. As well as the original red/cream, there’s also fictional BR green and Rail blue to choose from.
